BTS REGIONAL ROADSHOW: Adrift in Orange

From the bright lights of city living to the farm fresh smells of the country, we as women all have a love for gorgeous bright fashion!! Living in the country often means that fun, comfortable and size-inclusive fashion is rarely at arms reach so can you imagine how excited we were to take our Adrift clothing on the road for two regional fashion parades, starting in NSW!!

Two country girls ourselves, Gemma (our Adrift photographer) and myself took to Orange in the hopes of bringing a fun night of fashion to the country. Many moments (teary ones) were had during the event day, with all ten women in our fashion parade being incredible local women who got up there and rocked their stuff on the parade, THEIR FIRST TIME IN A PARADE!! It was incredible to watch!!

We spent time with the ladies during the day as they came in for their makeovers with hair and makeup. It was such a warm feeling giving these women - who had all been through so much in their lives - a day to be pampered, to see them out of their comfort zones and afterwards to feel more confident in themselves than they have for years.

Our vision came to life on the runway that night, showcasing women of all sizes, shapes, backgrounds and walks of life. Many of the women involved in the parade were from the Orange Women's Shed, a local charity who offer women a place to get together and learn trades-based skills in a supportive environment. Even more special was that we were able to donate funds from our raffle to this wonderful charity as well as Veritas House, who are another not-for-profit organisation offering services to children, young people and families.

Many of ladies who attended the event asked, why Orange? For us at Adrift, the event was also to support our local stockists! The ladies from Mary and Tex, Cint Young and Red Chair Boutique attended the event, with the styles featured in the parade being available instore! This was the perfect opportunity for us to give back and to ensure that shopping local is important!

We hope you had an incredible time if you attended our fashion parade in Orange!!

If you'd like to find out any info on our stockists please find their information on our website under 'stockists'.

So much love,

Bec H xx
