The Style Edit: Packing for Carry On

The Style Edit: Packing for Carry On

We all love a little weekend vacay right?!  Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming trying to pack lightly, particularly if you're flying and just taking carry-on luggage. So I've put together my favourites that will fit neatly into your carry-on. I've picked the Hadley Pant and Weave Top  with some small accessories to liven up your outfits that will take up minimal space.

Let's start with your daytime, casual look...

If you're out sightseeing or involved in fun activities, you'll need a really comfortable outfit. That's when I look to a sporty luxe look, which can be easily achieved with these two basics (Hadley Pant and Weave Top) and adding white comfortable sneakers. For accessories I've added a small fringe earring in black and our black bucket bag (which is a great travel size), keeping it simple yet stylish.

Heading out for a sneaky champers'?

A weekend away wouldn't be the same without going out for a few champagnes or maybe a sweet afternoon tea with friends!  For this look I've added a tan boot, curved tassel ring bag in camel, a gorgeous tie dye scarf and some fun tassel earrings.  Add your favourite subtle toned lipstick to dress up this look. A scarf is essential when travelling, especially if the weather cools down unexpectedly! Adrift have just introduced a beautiful range of scarves that you should check out here.

Finally a beautiful dinner or movie night...

Let's get fancy! I've simply added a nude heel with this look to give it a dressy feel. You can swap this out for a nude wedge for comfort.  I've tucked the weave top at the front, which you can easily adopt or you can undo leave the top loose, depending on your shape and if this is an area you would like to hide or expose. If you follow my instagram account @stylingadriftbec you'll see that I regularly adopt this styling technique, as it creates a nice shape.  For accessories, add some beautiful pearls, which create an everlasting feminine feel.

I hope this has given you a few ideas of how to pack for a long weekend with carry-on luggage.  I’d love for you to leave some feedback on the blog or you can email me at bec.h@adrift.com.au for any inquiries.

Bec xx
