 2. The Salt Mill - Currumbin Beach

Currumbin Beach in itself is a local secret of the Gold Coast; the stunning beach is down the south-end of the coast and is a favourite amongst surfers and beach-goers alike. But for a real local-secret, check out The Salt Mill cafe, which is tucked along the front strip of shops across from the sand. Serving up delicious and nutritious food and great coffee, this spot is perfect for a lazy Sunday morning. Grab one of their famous Acai bowls and a green juice, and take a seat on a milk crate outside, or get takeaway and sit on the beach.

3. Natural Bridge Waterfall

Just inland from the gorgeous Gold Coast coastline, the Natural Bridge Waterfall is a stunning natural waterfall set in the Springbrook National Park. This natural wonder is beautiful for a weekend bush-walk, and is surrounded by Australia’s incredible flora and fauna. See if you can spot some native birdlife! Springbrook National Park is part of the Gold Coast hinterland, so explore all-day long and discover the beauty of the Australian bush!

4. Farm & Co - Kingscliff

Tucked right down the south end of the Gold Coast, and inland by about 30 minutes, Farm & Co is an avocado farm that has been running for over 30 years, but it’s now so much more than that! Locals and tourists alike can visit this farm and explore the grounds, purchase fresh produce, and pick your own gorgeous sunflowers. The on-premises cafe provides beautiful food that can be enjoyed all throughout the week, or if you want, pack your own picnic and just pay a small fee per head! Take a stroll around the grounds and take in the sights of adorable rescue animals, farm-fresh produce, flowers and so much more.
